The Mission of Peter’s Place is to provide safe and supportive environments for grieving children and families, and to foster understanding of the effects of death and grief.
Challenge
Peter’s Place, a safe and supportive environment for grieving children and families, engaged Merz to create branding that captured their essence and vision while honoring their history. The new brand needed to boldly differentiate them from similar resources and emotionally connect with donors in a community with many philanthropic causes.
Solution
Merz created their strategic plan with input from executives, program leaders and the board to uncover the unique elements of their brand. A mosaic display made by children’s groups in 2003 was a source of inspiration. Merz created a brand identity with diverse, colorful fragments and shapes which all came together to make a strong, vibrant and whole image symbolic of the work Peter’s Place does for children and families. Upon completion of the new brand assets, Merz provided the files and training needed for the internal team to utilize them for brand extensions going forward.
