Simpson engaged Merz to be their agency of record in 2019, with responsibility for developing updated materials and managing all of their marketing campaigns and activities system-wide. This has included website development, search engine optimization, print and digital advertising campaigns, social media management, campus signage, corporate communications, event planning, and much more!
The Challenge
Simpson Senior Services, a not-for-profit CCRC, underwent a rebrand in 2019 to unite their three full-service retirement communities and two affordable housing communities under the parent organization in an effort to gain greater market awareness of the history and depth of the organization. With the COVID-19 pandemic, they were faced with declining census at their communities, and an inability to market their communities in the traditional ways.
The Solution
After the success of Merz’ integrated campaign promoting Personal Care at Simpson House, the Simpson team again approached Merz to develop and manage a digital lead generation campaign for their three full-service retirement communities. Merz met with residents, leadership and staff at each campus to find the common thread that bound these three very different communities together…the residents themselves. From there, we developed a campaign featuring residents, telling the stories of the rich lives they’ve lived through digital display campaigns, social media posts and blog content. Photos showed the residents today, with photos from meaningful moments in their life in the background.
